The Mahanaim School of Ministry exists to raise and equip lay ministers for effective service in the body of Christ. We believe that ministry is not limited to the pulpit, but that every believer has been called, gifted, and empowered to serve. Our mandate is to provide biblical and practical training that prepares men and women to function in the fivefold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—as given by Christ for the building up of His Church (Ephesians 4:11).
The name comes from Jacob’s encounter in Genesis 32:2, where he named the place Mahanaim (meaning “two camps” or “two companies”) because he saw both the camp of God’s angels and his own. Mahanaim captures the school’s educational philosophy that ministry converges the natural and the spiritual — it is therefore important to train ministers who operate faithfully in earthly responsibilities while being sensitive to heaven’s reality and competent in the operations of the Spirit. Effective ministry is a partnership with the angelic and divine realms — emphasizing that ministry is not human effort alone, but collaboration with God’s Spirit and His divine power.
